Their details stay theirs.

If you shared your details on someone’s card

Your name and the contact detail you gave go to that person only, and are stored in their private contact list. We do not sell them, show them to other users, add them to a marketing list or enrich them with data from anywhere else.

If you scanned someone’s card

When you tap a link on a card (their LinkedIn, email, “Save to contacts” and so on), the card’s owner sees that someone did, and which link. If you choose to leave your name, they see that too. To group your taps, your browser keeps a random id that is not linked to anything else about you. Nothing else is collected, and none of it is used for advertising.

Deleting what you shared

After you share, the confirmation page gives you a link to delete your details. It removes the submission and the contact created from it. If you no longer have the link, email privacy@getnetworker.app with the name you used and we will remove the record within 30 days.

If this is your card

You can export everything you have captured as a spreadsheet or a contacts file, and delete your account with every contact in it, from Settings in the app or on the web. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. See how to delete your account.

The phone app

The camera is used only while you scan a QR code or photograph a card; photos of paper business cards are read on your phone and not uploaded. A card photo you choose is uploaded and shown on your card. Your calendar, if you turn that on, is read on your phone to notice networking events and never leaves it; only an event you confirm is saved, with its name and time. NFC is used only while you tap a card or write to a sticker. If you allow notifications, we store a notification address for your phone so we can send your reminders and card activity; it is deleted when you sign out or delete your account. People you add with no signal are kept on your phone until they can be saved. The app has no advertising and no tracking.

Your rights

Under GDPR, sharing your details through the form is consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the deletion route above. Under CCPA, we do not sell or share personal information. You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your information.

Emails and notifications

If you have an account, we email you sign-in links when you ask for them and, on days when someone is waiting on you, one short follow-up email. In the app, if you allow it, we send follow-up reminders (never in your quiet hours), a Monday summary, and card activity as it happens. You can turn each off in Settings, and the email from the link in it. People who shared their details on a card do not get emails or notifications from us.

Who helps us run it

Data is stored with Supabase and the website runs on Vercel. Emails are sent through Resend. Phone notifications are delivered by Expo, through Apple and Google. Error reports (what broke and where, not your contacts) go to Sentry so we can fix problems quickly. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Where the data lives

Contact records are held in an encrypted database and are encrypted in transit and at rest. Each person’s contacts are isolated by row-level security, so one account can never read another’s. Where a language model is ever used to draft a message, it will run under an agreement that prohibits training on your content.
